Mercer Island PTA
As a Mercer Island mom, volunteer, PTA council sub-committee representative for G2EL, Superintendent’s Teaching and Learning Advisory (STLA) representative for G2EL, former teacher, volunteer writer for the MI Reporter, and advocate for neurodiverse students and Dyslexic thinkers, I endorse Brian because he believes in the power of ALL learners. When I asked Brian if he would be a guest speaker at a PTA council meeting, he readily accepted and candidly spoke about his own public school experience as a dyslexic student in the highly capable program. I appreciated his honesty. Like me and my child, he’s dyslexic and an excellent big picture thinker, but our education roads were not ideal or easy. Brian has a strong vision, the skills to make changes happen, and compassion. He has been through what so many students here have and shouldn’t have to. He leads with experience and most importantly, he wants the best public education for his child and every child in this community, so they can be successful. He is living proof that can be a reality —with excellent education, community and leadership. As an involved advocate for education, I feel more hopeful about change with Brian in the running.

Former Student & Employee
As a former student in Brian's Business Strategy course at San Francisco State University, where he was an Associate Professor, I saw firsthand his dedication to academic excellence. He instilled in us the ability for rigorously assessing complex challenges to achieve outstanding results, especially with tight deadlines.
I later had the privilege of working with Brian at a global technology company, which further solidified my admiration for his leadership. I observed him consistently drive for strategic results while fostering an inclusive environment that truly valued the diverse contributions of each person. Brian is known as a visionary leader, and his approach to problem-solving is remarkable.
