Hands-On Involvement: West Mercer’s Art Museum Visit
Last week, I had the privilege of chaperoning West Mercer’s 5th grade field trip to the Seattle Art Museum. It was a day filled with curiosity, creativity, and meaningful conversations as students explored everything from ancient artifacts to modern installations.
As a school board candidate—and a parent—I believe strongly in expanding real-world learning opportunities. Field trips like this enrich classroom instruction, spark imagination, and help students connect what they learn to the broader world.
Whether it's championing strong academics or showing up to support our kids, I’m committed to a school system that values both excellence and experience.
